Today

Thank you to those who left kind words..... I am not strong, but Edd's courage made me brave. Somehow I'll keep putting one foot in front of the other and trying to breathe.... Yesterday was unbelievable hard. Today was even harder. Soon when I can collect my thoughts I'll write a "real" post but for now, this is all I can do. As Edd would say when we were apart, "I feel half my molecules are missing" and they are...

My daughter, Jenni, wrote a heartfelt tribute to Edd yesterday. I'm not the only one heartbroken.

  6. I just read Jenni's post. I'm so sorry Mrs. Kathi. You may not think you're strong, but oh my goodness, you are the definition of it. Your bravery and courage is so admirable. I know words can never take away the pain that death brings, so just want to let you know I'm praying for you, Jenni and the rest of your family. Sending lots of love and hugs.

  7. Sweet girl - you've described how you feel perfectly. I'll have to remember that saying. Take your time, take comfort in your family and those around you. And out here... from all different time zones... we're sending you as much love and support as you can receive. Sadly, it just takes time. And in the meantime we have our memories and our faith.

  8. I'm so sorry about you loss...My prayers are with you and your family...I learned this from Iyanla Vanzant... when we are grieving over the loss of a loved one...Sense the presence of their soul, which is always with you. Instead of the personality that is gone. Recognize that it's all bigger than we can imagine. When we loose somebody in the physical form...the soul becomes an angel that you know. Edd is your big angel up there. Hugs to you Kathi !

  11. I also wanted to share my Mom's blog with you.

She lost her husband suddenly almost two years ago.
Almost one year later she began to blog their love story.
Yesterday would have been their 13th wedding anniversary.

    We miss him so much.
I have shared your story with her.
    She is praying for you.
Feel free to read her story.
    But no pressure at all.
